Job Description
As a Production, Planning, and Expediting Clerk at ForseMark, you
will play a crucial role in
coordinating and expediting the flow of work and materials within
our
production environment.
This position involves managing schedules, tracking production
orders,
and ensuring the timely delivery of materials to meet production
goals.

Typical Duties
- Coordinate and expedite the production workflow, ensuring smooth and
efficient operations.
- Review production schedules and work orders to prioritize tasks and
meet deadlines.
- Monitor the progress of production orders, tracking stages of completion
and identifying bottlenecks.
- Communicate with production supervisors, team leads, and operators
to coordinate tasks and resolve issues.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, including materials
usage, work hours, and production rates.
- Generate and distribute production reports, status updates, and performance
metrics.
- Coordinate the procurement of materials and supplies needed for production
processes.
- Work closely with inventory control to ensure adequate stock levels
and timely replenishment.
- Expedite the delivery of materials, parts, or equipment needed for
production to minimize delays.
- Coordinate with shipping and receiving departments to schedule deliveries
and shipments.
- Assist in the development and implementation of production schedules
and plans.
- Collaborate with production planners, engineers, and quality control
teams to optimize workflow.
- Update and maintain production databases, ERP systems, and other software
tools.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, efficiency gains,
and cost savings.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and
company policies.
- Provide support to production teams by answering inquiries, resolving
issues, and facilitating solutions.
Experience and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training
in production planning or logistics preferred.
- Proven experience in production planning, scheduling, or materials
expediting in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of production processes, materials handling, and inventory
management principles.
- Proficiency in using computerized production planning tools, ERP systems,
and Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to
prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective
coordination and collaboration.
- Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy in data entry and
record-keeping.
- Problem-solving abilities to address production issues, delays, and
unexpected changes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced,
deadline-driven environment.
- Understanding of safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory
requirements in manufacturing.
- Adaptability and flexibility to adjust to changing production demands
and priorities.
