Typical Duties

• Inspect raw materials, components, and finished products for defects, damage, or deviations from specifications.
  
• Perform visual inspections, measurements, and tests using various tools and equipment.
  
• Check product dimensions, weights, and other physical attributes to ensure they meet required standards.
  
• Conduct functional tests to assess product performance, functionality, and reliability.
  
• Record inspection and test results accurately and maintain detailed records.
  
• Identify and document any non-conforming products or materials, initiating corrective actions as necessary.
  
• Sort, sample, or weigh materials according to established procedures and sampling plans.
  
• Follow inspection procedures, quality control guidelines, and industry standards.
  
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to address quality issues and implement improvements.
  
• Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  
• Assist in troubleshooting production problems related to quality or defects.
  
• Communicate inspection results and findings to relevant stakeholders.
  
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Experience and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in quality control or a related field is a plus.
  
• Previous experience as an Inspector, Tester, Sorter, Sampler, or Weigher in a manufacturing environment.
  
• Knowledge of inspection techniques, testing methods, and quality assurance principles.
  
• Familiarity with measurement tools such as calipers, gauges, micrometers, and scales.
  
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in conducting inspections and tests.
  
• Analytical skills to identify and evaluate defects or deviations from standards.
  
• Proficiency in using computerized systems or software for recording and documenting results.
  
• Effective communication skills to report findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks.
