Job Description Industrial Machinery Mechanics at ForseMark are integral to the smooth operation of manufacturing processes by ensuring that machinery and equipment are properly maintained and promptly repaired when issues arise. They play a crucial role in minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency in the production environment.

Typical Duties

• Perform preventive maintenance tasks on a regular schedule to ensure machinery operates efficiently.
  
• Inspect machinery, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components, for signs of wear, damage, or malfunction.
  
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with industrial machinery to identify root causes.
  
• Disassemble and reassemble machinery components for repair or replacement of parts.
  
• Repair or replace defective parts, such as bearings, gears, belts, and valves.
  
• Align and adjust machinery parts to ensure proper operation and performance.
  
• Test machinery after repairs or maintenance to verify functionality and make necessary adjustments.
  
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, parts inventory, and equipment history.
  
• Collaborate with production operators and supervisors to address machinery-related concerns and optimize performance.
  
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others.
  
• Stay updated on new technologies, tools, and techniques in industrial machinery maintenance and repair.

Experience and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a technical or vocational program in industrial maintenance preferred.
  
• Proven experience as an Industrial Machinery Mechanic, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  
• Experience using a variety of hand and power tools for maintenance and repair work.
  
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex machinery issues.
  
• Detail-oriented approach to conducting inspections, repairs, and adjustments.
  
• Physical stamina and dexterity for lifting, bending, and maneuvering heavy machinery parts.
  
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet maintenance schedules and production demands.
