Job Description Forklift, Crane, and Tower Operators at ForseMark are essential team members responsible for the safe and efficient operation of cranes, forklifts, and other lifting equipment. They play a vital role in the movement, loading, and unloading of materials and products within the company's facilities.

Typical Duties

• Operate forklifts, cranes, tower cranes, hoists, or other lifting equipment to move materials and products.
  
• Safely load and unload materials from trucks, containers, shelves, or storage areas.
  
• Transport materials to designated locations within the facility, following established routes and safety protocols.
  
• Use hand signals, radios, or other communication devices to coordinate with ground personnel or other operators.
  
• Ensure proper positioning, alignment, and stability of loads before lifting or moving.
  
• Inspect equipment before use, checking for any defects or malfunctions, and report issues to supervisors.
  
• Adhere to weight capacities, load limits, and safety guidelines when lifting and moving materials.
  
• Secure loads with straps, chains, or other fastening devices to prevent shifting or falling.
  
• Monitor equipment operation and performance, making adjustments as needed for smooth and safe operation.
  
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work area, equipment, and storage areas.
  
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on forklifts, cranes, and other equipment.
  
• Assist in the assembly, disassembly, or installation of equipment using lifting devices.
  
• Follow safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
  
• Collaborate with warehouse, production, and logistics teams to fulfill orders and maintain workflow.
• Duties may vary based on the specific types of equipment, materials, and operations within the company.

Experience and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification or training in forklift and crane operation preferred.
  
• Previous experience as a Forklift Operator, Crane Operator, or similar role in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
  
• Knowledge of forklift and crane operation, including safe handling practices and load capacities.
  
• Familiarity with different types of forklifts, cranes, hoists, and lifting attachments.
  
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, diagrams, and instructions for material handling.
  
• Strong attention to detail and situational awareness to prevent accidents and damage.
  
• Physical strength and stamina for lifting, bending, and operating equipment for extended periods.
  
• Good hand-eye coordination and depth perception for precise and accurate movements.
  
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.
  
• Problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot equipment issues and make adjustments.
